Our Mission

The Juntos Podemos (Together We Can) campaign is working to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by providing easily accessible resources, promoting vaccine uptake, and combating misinformation so that together, we can foster an even more resilient Latino community.

Protecting yourself and your loved ones with trusted information about COVID-19 is critical to keeping our communities healthy and strong so that we can beat the virus together.

Get Vaccinated

Now that vaccines are here, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. That is why when it is your turn to receive it, get it to help protect your family, friends, and community. Keep wearing your mask, distancing, and washing your hands. In continuing to follow public health guidelines together we move closer to being able to put the pandemic behind us.

cOrrect the record

With all the misinformation out there about COVID-19, vaccines, and how to best protect yourself, it is understandable to find it all overwhelming. That is why through offering vital resources and accurate information, this campaign is setting out to empower you to help our communities by setting the record straight on COVID-19 and saving lives in the process.

Are the vaccines safe?

Yes. COVID-19 vaccines have gone through extensive clinical trials and the most intensive safety review in U.S. history. Technological advancements in science and an unprecedented amount of resources made the development of vaccines in under a year possible.

Before release, they were tested in tens of thousands of participants of different ages, races, genders, and ethnicities. Most people report no side effects, or only mild ones.

You cannot get COVID-19 from a vaccine.

How we know they are safe:

  1. Millions of people in the United States have been safely vaccinated for COVID-19
  2. Everyone who receives a vaccine is observed while on-site for side effects
  3. Reported side effects have been mild, and are a normal sign that your body is building immunity
  4. These vaccines were built on years of research – no corners were cut in the process

Pfizer Vaccine Update

Good news: the FDA has fully approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 16 and up! FDA approval is a great opportunity to open the conversation back up with unvaccinated folks who have been carefully considering the data and evidence. Moreover, this information might serve as the last push these individuals need to get vaccinated.

Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Update

California lifted the temporary pause on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Visit the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup report to learn more.
