As the second largest population group in the United States, the educational attainment of Latino students is intrinsically connected to the economic vitality and future success of the nation.
Since 1981, NALEO Educational Fund has been making significant contributions to the progress of the nation’s 52 million Latinos by carrying out our mission of governance training for Latino policymakers across the country.
Through the NALEO Educational Fund Education Leadership Initiative (NELI), our organization assists Latino elected and appointed officials with technical assistance, training and networking opportunities designed to increase their effectiveness as education policymakers and advocates. With a focus on the entire education pipeline, from Preschool to Graduate Studies (P-20), the NELI Portfolio offers a concrete overview of the state of Latino education and strategies for improving the academic success of Latino students.
